One of London's most central rooftop restaurants has had a sizzling summer makeover.

All-day rooftop lounge Kitty Hawk is a seasonal escape above the city, located just off Trafalgar Square. Its sixth floor position above Page8 Hotel offers dreamy views over the sun-kissed rooftops of the West End and Nelson's Column, which you can soak up as you indulge in the summery flavours of a brand new menu.

Newly-appointed head chef Simone Auer has put her expertise in seasonal produce into creating an Eastern Mediterranean and Southern European-inspired summer menu. Think mouthwatering mezze platters and grilled dishes with fresh citrus notes, warming spices and deep, smoky flavours that'll instantly transport your taste buds to the Levant — ideal for sharing as you bask in the sun with friends.

Begin with warm handmade pittas, served alongside dishes including courgette with fennel and lemon yoghurt. From there, indulge in a selection of succulent grilled meats and seafood, including lamb koftas and Lebanese chicken souvlaki.

Alternatively, linger a little longer over sharing dishes including butterflied seabass with roasted pepper esme, or lamb shoulder finished with pomegranate and pistachio. Sweet-toothed Londoners are catered for with a dessert menu that celebrates Levantine flavours: highlights including a tahini tiramisu, and pavlova served with charred pineapple and sweetened labneh.

Kitty Hawk's redesigned terrace Le Jardin Soleil pairs perfectly with the summer menu. Decked out in coastal blues and dotted with lemon trees, the elegant space invites you to relax and linger over a drink or two.

The chic terrace was designed in partnership with St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur, its distinctive floral character and lightly sweet flavour adding a refreshing twist to Kitty Hawk's drinks menu. Sip on seasonal favourites including the Hugo Spritz or the St-Germain Spritz, or try something new: we're tempted by the Mediterranean Martini, a bold blend of San Marzano tomato-infused Grey Goose vodka, Noilly Prat, tomato extract and basil oil.

And if you're keen to squeeze every drop of fun out of the summer, check out the events programme at Le Jardin Soleil: think late-night DJ sessions, brunches and golden hour to see you right through until autumn.

Le Jardin Soleil is now open at Kitty Hawk, 8 St Martin's Place, WC2N 4JH.
