The Royal Household Is Making Their Own Gin Now

In these challenging times, who isn't diversifying their portfolios? We've all seen the breweries switching to hand sanitiser production, the designers pivoting to PPE... and now the Royal Household, cooking up their own gin.

Made with botanicals from the Palace garden, the new gin combines an on-trend effort towards drinking local — this will be served at official events at the Palace — with a very respectable 42% ABV.

Cameos from Palace plants: hawthorn berries and bay leaves, among others. Recommended serve: G+T. Aesthetic: summer chintz. Innocent, zeitgeisty business pivot, or bid to win back the hearts of the nation in the midst of some headlines that'd anybody (still capable of sweating) would be sweating over? Your guess is as good as ours.

You can buy Buckingham Palace gin online for £40 for a 70cl bottle and is available at Royal Collection Trust shops. Profits go to The Royal Collection Trust, a registered charity helping to help fund the care and conservation of the Royal Collection.
