A new reality show set in Peckham launches on ITV this month — and it might just be south east London's answer to Made in Chelsea.

Peckham's Finest, which airs on ITV2 and ITV Hub from 20 October, is described by its producers as an observational documentary series following a diverse and aspirational group of young people living everyday Peckham life — from blossoming romances to doomed relationships, from new friendships to broken ties and new ventures to everyday dramas.

Among the cast, according to Bustle, are bona fide Peckham peeps, including social media queen Queen MoJo, Peckham-raised Ghanaian artists the Flag Twins, choreographer and personal trainer Gilly, model Isla Loba, BMXer Tre Whyte and radio host Teeshow. All the cool kids, basically.

A short trailer doesn't give much away, but the concept of the show (which is by the Masked Singer people)  sounds very much in the vein of Made in Chelsea and TOWIE. These hugely successful shows blur reality with structure and scene directions (well, probably — the whole genre's a bit of an enigma). Whether or not Peckham's Finest is your cup of tea, it's good to see the area's diversity celebrated on screen, and we'll be looking out for all our favourite SE15 haunts, from the Bussey Building to Khan's Bargain.

Peckham's Finest starts 20 October on ITV2 and ITV Hub, and airs weekly
