With Stay Another Day, fur-trimmed boy band East 17 had one of THE Christmas hits of the 90s (even if it wasn't originally supposed to be a festive song).
Now, over three decades later, founding member/songwriter Tony Mortimer is inviting us all to a festive 90s-themed party, where he'll be spinning the choons all night afternoon long.
Taking place on Saturday 12 December 2026 at Lewisham's Fox & Firkin pub, Tony Mortimer's 90s Christmas Party promises "massive singalongs, festive fun, 90s anthems and a few surprises along the way". Is one of the surprises a fully-fledged reunion performance, replete with ski wear, fake snow and tubular bells? Christmas miracles can happen.
As is now custom for those who were living it up back in the 1990s, doors for Tony' party open at 2pm, with the whole thing winding up at 8pm, allowing you to get home, mix a Horlicks and put on re-runs of the Vicar of Dibley Christmas specials.
The Fox & Firkin is going all out for Christmas this year, other events including a Cutashine Christmas Ceilidh and A Buena Vista Christmas.
