London's Favourite Christmas Instagram Account Is Back In Action

We have to admit, 2020 had us worried there for a while. With all the travel restrictions around the world, would Santa make it to London this Christmas?

Relax, though, for Santa is coming. And how do we know? Our favourite festive Instagram account has woken up after its summer slumber, ready to track Santa's travels around the capital this Christmas.

@santaclauslondon has been spreading the festive joy for a few years now. In 2018, we spoke to photographer Neil Andrews — better known on Instagram as @mumhad1ofthose — about the account. He told us that it all started as a bit of fun, and we're pleased to say that the fun continues to this day. We love the way it combines stunning shots of the capital with tongue-in-cheek festivities.

So far this winter, Santa's been spotted enjoying the Christmas lights on Regent Street, indulging in a bit of window shopping on Bond Street, and enjoying the very rare sight of a deserted Piccadilly Circus. We expect he'll have plenty of shopping to do once the stores reopen after lockdown, but hope he'll be documenting his Christmas preparations on Instagram as he goes.
