The second — and final — batch of tickets for London's New Year's Eve fireworks will go on sale on Monday 24 November.

Since 2014, the festive spectacular of fireworks, music and latterly drone displays — which plays out from the South Bank — has been a ticketed event. Around 10,000 people will watch the 12-minute show, which is always a sell out.

This year, there's another uptick to the pricing, with tickets now costing up to £55 per person. That's a £5 mark-up from last year's top whack tickets.

However, Londoners will enjoy a discount of up to £20, meaning they'll pay between £20-£35, depending on the viewing area. Here's the pricing structure:

A pricing chart

The first batch of tickets went on sale in October.

Says the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan: "There is no better way to welcome in the new year than by uniting with Londoners and visitors on the banks of the River Thames for our spectacular celebrations. Every year the eyes of the world watch as our capital’s unique fireworks, lighting and music display shows off the very best of London. It’s a fantastic advert for our city and a huge boost for our hospitality and tourism industries, as we build a better London for everyone."

The second batch of tickets — which is smaller than the first — goes on sale on Ticketmaster at 12pm on Monday 24 November. City Hall has warned that Ticketmaster is the only authorised way to obtain tickets, and that in the last few years there's been an uptick in people buying fake tickets, leading to them being turned away from the event on the night.
