London's New Year's Eve fireworks on the Thames are back! You'll need a ticket to get anywhere near them — the first batch went on sale in October, with the second and final lot expected to be available late November/early December.

New Year's Eve at The Candlelight Club
Legendary jazz age speakeasy The Candlelight Club once again heralds the New Year with a decadent evening of cabaret and jiving. Glamorous 1920s attire is encouraged as you enjoy cabaret from Champagne Charlie, live music from Elise Roth, vintage DJing, Charleston dance routines from the Gatsby Girls and a glimpse into what 2025 has in store, from fortune teller Lucius. New Year's Eve at The Mansion
Two dance floors, VIP areas, and lounges for socialising and entertainment are in the offing at The Mansion's NYE party, taking place at a secret venue — exact location only revealed to ticket holders 48 hours before the event. Look out for a cage dancing, a clairvoyant and a stilts performance among the DJ sets. White is the theme, with guests encouraged to embrace it with their outfits for the evening. Tickets from £30.
NYE Masquerade Ball and After Party at The Londoner
A grand dinner, live entertainment, and an after party are all included at the London NYE Masquerade Ball, which this year is held at The Londoner hotel (The Dorchester and The Park Lane Hilton are among the venues which have had the honours in previous years). Tickets from £395.

New Year's Eve at Operation Mincemeat
Olivier-Award winning musical Operation Mincemeat — which tells the true tale of how MI5 operatives used a stolen corpse to help win the Second World War — hosts its first-ever NYE celebration, The New Year's Eve That Never Was. Enjoy this gender-blind, genre-blending show, then stay at the Fortune Theatre to ring in 2025 with bottomless sparkling sangria, unlimited gourmet popcorn, and a few surprises. Tickets from £175. New Year's Eve at Somerset House
This one sounds fun: Cabaret, burlesque, drag and belly-dancing performances from the UK's first queer pan-Asian performance collective The Bitten Peach are on the bill for New Year's Eve at Somerset House, along with skating on the ice rink in the courtyard, food and drink from the various festive pop-ups, and a chance to ogle the fireworks from the riverside terrace at midnight. New Year's Eve at Circe's Rooftop Bar, Waterloo
An Aurora-themed wonderland high above the London skyline awaits at Circe's Rooftop Bar (the venue formerly known as Bar Elba). Immersive entertainers, singers and top DJs keep things going until midnight, when you'll get a view of the NYE fireworks nearby. Tickets from £150.
New Year's Eve at The London Cabaret Club
It's a black tie dress code at The London Cabaret Club, where West End stars perform scenes from the James Bond films, along with acrobats, aerialists and contortionists. Tickets from £295.
Age Against The Machine New Year's Eve party at Dingwalls
The door policy at Age Against The Machine events is strictly 30+, though many attendees are often a fair bit older. This is one for those who 'still fight for their right to party and definitely do not want to go gentle in to that good night' and it's seeing in 2025 with pop, indie, soul, ska, funk, disco and rock tunes from across the decades at Dingwall in Camden. How Does It Feel To Be Loved? New Year's Eve party
We've spent a good few NYEs dancing away to Belle and Sebastian, the Ronettes, Orange Juice et al at indie/soul club night How Does It Feel To Be Loved? This year, it's spinning tunes at Signature Brew Haggerston once again. Joyous stuff. Tickets £10.
Studio 54 New Year's Eve party at JOIA
JOIA restaurant and bar, on the 14th and 15th floors of the art'otel Battersea Power Station, holds a Studio 54 themed New Year's Eve. The restaurant offers two sittings on 31 December, with set menus for each, while the bar opens for cocktails, bar snacks and live music. In addition to either a bar or restaurant booking, you can buy a separate ticket to head up to the roof at midnight to admire the fireworks. From £95.
New Year's Eve at 100 Wardour Street
Soho music venue 100 Wardour Street rings in 2025 with a Vegas-themed evening featuring dinner, live music and dancing till 4am, fuelled by festive espresso martinis. Tickets from £30.
New Year's Eve at Oblix at The Shard
Oblix at The Shard has two different New Year's Eves in mind, in Oblix East and Oblix West, both located on the 32nd floor of the skyscraper.
Oblix East hosts a lively party, featuring a DJ, live music and panoramic views of London's skyline. Tickets (£300, +£50 to upgrade to a window table) include a half bottle of champagne, a choice of bottle service, and a selection of roaming canapés throughout the evening.
Oblix West offers two exclusive sittings, where you can dine on dishes like Carlingford rock oysters, tuna tartare, and Oscietra caviar, followed by roasted lobster and wagyu rib-eye.
Grey Goose Lates at 12th Knot, South Bank
12th Knot rooftop cocktail bar at Sea Containers continues its partnership with Grey Goose Vodka, for a New Year's Eve party hosted by DJs Shy One of NTS Radio, ad Balamii and Jamz Supernova from BBC 1Xtra. Tickets from £90.

Take a twirl on the ice at one of London's winter ice skating rinks. From Somerset House to Hampton Court Palace, there's an ice rink somewhere nearish you. They may be closing earlier tonight, but there's time to get a mid-afternoon, or maybe early evening, skate in.
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
It's one of the final days of this year's Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. Get stuck into the markets, food and drink stalls, giant ferris wheel, ice rink, ice kingdom, circus shows and more. Open 10am-10pm (although it may close early today)
Kids' Countdown at Southbank Centre
Kids buzzing for New Year, but not going to last until midnight? Take them along to Southbank Centre on NYE morning for the Kids' Countdown with Just Vibez — a full-on party with singing, dancing and a NYE-style countdown to midday instead of midnight. FREE, 10.30am
Winter carriage rides in Richmond Park
Operation Centaur is running its winter carriage rides around Richmond Park in daylight hours this New Year's Eve. Up to six people can hop in the brake and enjoy a ride through the park, snuggled up under a blanket. The experience also includes refreshments and a tour of the working stables. From 10.30am
Live film scores at Barbican
The London Concert Orchestra performs the best scores from two of the greatest film composers of all time, Hans Zimmer and John Williams, in a single show at Barbican. Hear music from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, the Lion King and others. 2.30pm
When Harry Met Sally at Prince Charles Cinema
It's become something of a tradition for Leicester Square's Prince Charles Cinema to show 1989 rom-com When Harry Met Sally on New Year's Eve (makes sense if you've seen the film). We're pleased to say they're not letting us down this year, so you can spend the evening huddled away in the cinema watching Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, and still make it out to a party/home for the Hootenanny.
