Negroni in bed, delivered by butler? Not just a louche fantasy.
Luxury hotel Flemings is making it a reality, launching their own temporary suite dedicated to the good stuff.
The Negroni Suite comes with 'butler' service, where the pressing of a dedicated butler button summons one of the bartenders from the hotel bar Manetta's to whisk themselves (and a drinks trolley) to your bedroom, and mix you up a bespoke negroni.
There'll also be a negroni honesty bar in the suite, with a selection of gins, bitters, and garnishes so you can experiment all night long, from the comfort of your fluffy hotel dressing gown.
It's in honour of Negroni Week (you know, Negroni Week — 13-19 September this year, one of those utterly invented marketing exercises, that nonetheless we're very on board with if it legitimises negronis in bed).
It's not that big a departure from the usual offering, tbh, as if you visit Flemings outside of Negroni Week you can also have room service cocktails, negronis at Manetta's, or shake yourself up something punchy from the minibar while you lounge in pyjamas. But if you're feeling negroni-thirsty and cash-rich? Flemings Mayfair might just be the cure.
The Negroni Suite at Flemings Mayfair is running from 13 to 19 September. It's £399 for two people, including breakfast, butler service, and two negronis in your room.
