London's Best Black Friday Theatre Offers

It's here: from now till late November you can scoop up hefty discounts on tickets to everything from fringe theatre musicals and big Broadway transfers to dystopian opera and Tim Burton-inspired ballet.

Browse the full list of our Black Friday theatre ticket offers, or below we've collected a handful of our favourites.

Edward Scissorhands, Sadler's Wells

Nearly two decades after it debuted, Matthew Bourne's ballet is still enchanting audiences. Based on the classic Tim Burton film, it's a dreamlike fairytale about the lonely-but-loving, isolated Edward trying to learn how to become part of a suburban community — even though some sinister smalltown elements want to keep him on the outside looking in.

Edward Scissorhands, Sadler's Wells. Runs 5 Dec 2023-20 Jan 2024. Tickets on offer from £30 (35% off).

The Handmaid's Tale, London Coliseum

Based on the nightmarish dystopian near-future of Margaret Atwood's book, the opera by Poul Rouders promises a brutal portrayal of the Republic of Gilead, where women have been stripped of their freedom and rights — and the Handmaid known as Offred risks her life daily in acts of defiance against the regime.

The Handmaid's Tale, London Coliseum. Runs 1-15 Feb 2024. Tickets on offer from £24.50 (40% off).

Aladdin, Hackney Empire

Panto in London: Panto characters posing in front of a cartoonish backdrop

The great panto dame Clive Rowe drags it up again at Hackney's outrageously funny panto — this time as Widow Twankey. Among the rest of the cast, George Heyworth is Mildew Funk, and Fred Double is in the lead role of Aladdin. Hackney's panto's one to make the adults roar as much as the kids.

Aladdin, Hackney Empire. Runs 18 Nov-30 Dec 2023. Tickets on offer from £12 (50% off).

Mean Girls, Savoy Theatre

Get in, loser: the Mean Girls musical is landing in London. The Tina Fey-scripted classic's been a huge hit on Broadway and its savage take on US high-school life is coming to the Savoy Theatre next summer. Fetch.

Mean Girls, Savoy Theatre. Runs 6 Jun-24 Oct 2024. Tickets from £23 (no booking fee).

A String Quartet Christmas, Union Chapel

Any excuse to visit the gorgeous Union Chapel in Islington, right? This festive orchestral show is a particularly good excuse, though; expect candlelight, some stained glass and a string quartet to play you into the Christmas weekend.

A String Quartet Christmas, Union Chapel. On 22 Dec 2023. Tickets on offer from £25 (30% off).
