A New Four Quarters Gaming Bar's Coming To South London

London just keeps getting richer in arcade bars — and south London most of all.

Along with the already popular venues in Croydon and Peckham, there's going to be a new bar landing in Elephant and Castle this summer. This one's a new tentacle in an existing empire: the third Four Quarters bar in the city — with the OG in Peckham, and the second in Hackney.

Opening in August, 2021, the new Elephant and Castle venue's talking a big game in their pre-opening announcement — 3000 square feet, 30 arcade machines, two projector screens for gaming, multiple console booths, and a (just) after midnight licence for Friday to Saturday. Prices for gaming are staying the same, though, with £1 still buying you four quarters — one quarter per play.

Exact details on the line up of games haven't been confirmed, but for any newcomers to the FQ franchise, you can expect that to include original machines and a lot of the classics — Streetfighter 2, Asteroids, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Time Crisis, and a lot of others that the barstaff will help you get to (literal) grips with if you're in unfamiliar territory.

If you can't wait till then, Four Quarters in Peckham is open for reservations and walk insand still one of our favourite places to pre-game, post-game, or just plain game, in the Rye Lane neighbourhood.
