Londoners go dotty for Yayoi Kusama.
The Japanese artist's Infinity Mirror Rooms at Tate Modern were in situ for three years — demonstrating just how much we adore her artful microscopic and macroscopic universes.
Now there's more good news: another exhibition of her work is coming to London — and this time it's free.
Entitled simply 'Yayoi Kusama', the show arrives at Victoria Miro in east London this September, featuring a brand new Infinity Mirror Room, as well as works from a fresh series of paintings entitled Every Day I Pray for Love, and new sculptures.
Kusama and Victoria Miro have a relationship stretching back over 25 years; this will be the 14th solo show she's done with the gallery. But you won't have three years to catch it: it's only on from 25 September to 2 November 2024.
Better have your finger hovering over the 'book' button when tickets are released on 2 September.
