Sussex Art Fairs (East) takes place at Brighton Racecourse, on the hills overlooking the lovely East Sussex coastline. Set on the edge of the South Downs, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it should come as no surprise that this is an area that inspires art. No less than 125 exhibitors will be on hand to showcase all manner of creations, ranging from glasswork to sculpture, seaside prints to serene photography.

Two halls packed full of over 1,000 works of art for you to admire. With a mix of up-and-coming and established artists all sitting side-by-side, this is a wonderful opportunity to browse at leisure, discover a gem and possibly bag a bargain. Affordability is the name of the game at Sussex Art Fairs, so you can choose whether to splash out on a masterpiece or take your pick of the prints and smaller pieces to take home, which start from as little as £50.

But there’s no pressure to buy. Both seasoned gallery-hoppers and relative newbies are welcome to soak in the surroundings, chat to the makers, appreciate the art and make it an art-filled day to remember. There’s hot drinks and snacks at the cafe, tipples from the fully-stocked bar, plus you have magnificent Brighton on your doorstep. Why not pop into town before your train home and make the most of the myriad cafes, galleries, shops and, of course, that wonderful beach?

Plus, there’s a big bonus in store for making the trip. Sussex Art Fairs (East) is a ticketed event, but we have a special code that’ll gain you free entry on whichever day you please, including the exclusive Private View on the Friday night.
