The Consortium for the Protection of Grana Padano Cheese offers you the chance to win a luxury hamper filled with Grana Padano goodies to mark London’s very first Grana Padano Aperitivo Hour.
Forget nuts and crisps - it's a quality cheese you should try nibbling on in the bar. Italians have long enjoyed such a snack with their after work drink and now Londoners have a chance to try Aperitivo Hour from 3-5 December between 5.30-9pm. Bars and restaurants across London will be offering you the chance to enjoy some delicious Grana Padano Cheese alongside your drink. Participating venues include:

- Vats Wine Bar, Holborn
- High Timber, Mansion House
- Searcys Champagne Bar, Paddington
- The Buckingham Arms, Westminster
- The Pearson Room
Staff will be on hand to recommend the best aperitif to complement your Grana Padano Cheese, and at specific venues there will be an opportunity for you to enjoy drinks promotions and the chance to win prizes.
Grana Padano is a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) product, recognised and protected by the Italian State and European Union. Its PDO status means that it is essentially and exclusively linked to the particular area in Northern Italy – the Padana Valley – where it is produced and has been for nearly 1,000 years, inseparable from the climate, culture, and the know-how of the people that create it. This ensures the ultimate in quality, authenticity and traceability.
Time is an essential ingredient in the production of Grana Padano. As the cheese matures, the aromas and flavours evolve. There are three different vintages of the cheese: Grana Padano (aged between nine and 16 months), Grana Padano ‘over 16 months,’ and Grana Padano ‘RISERVA’ (over 20 months). The different maturation stages give it a versatility that allows it to taste great with a wide variety of wines and recipes.
