Let's Admire, Talk About And Eat Art At Art16

Art16 is back at Olympia. And if this shot of Art15 is anything to go by, it's going to be very popular.

Art16 is getting closer and we're looking forward to 'London's summer art fair' with over 100 galleries participating, from 30 countries. There will be plenty of fantastic art to see and buy, but there's so much more to Art16.

There will be an extensive talks programme at the fair called Let's talk about art. Some fantastic discussions are due to take place, including a conversation about the career of the excellent taxidermy artist Polly Morgan, whether artist's working in other mediums helps their progression, and the current state of the art market.

Even the bar will be getting involved; Philip Colbert is transforming it into Fried Egg World. We can't quite picture what this will look like, but we're egg-cited all the same.

If you're interested in the artistic process then artist Tanya Ling merits a visit. The artist will have a studio set up where she'll be producing artwork daily, giving visitors the rare chance to see the magic happen up close.

The fair is accessible to collectors, and those new to art fairs.

If you're new to art fairs and don't know where to start, there will be regular tours focussing on different aspects of the fair. Whether you want to see the big names, emerging galleries or focus on female artists, these tours will help you out — plus they're all free to book onto if you've already got your ticket.

If that's not enough incentive, Art16 is offering 2 for 1 on tickets, exclusive to Londonist readers. Book your tickets now and use the promo code 'LOND241' to get your discount.

There will also be film screenings, and if you're serious about making a purchase there are dedicated art advisers to help with that all important decision.

Lots of discussions will take place on the art world.

Art16 takes place at Olympia London, Hammersmith Road, W14 8UX, from 20-22 May (First Night Preview on 19 May). Advance general admission tickets are £15 for adults and £10 for concessions, prebooking online is recommended. Share your favourite photos from the fair, use the hashtag #Art16 on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Offer terms & conditions: Receive 2 for 1 tickets to Art16 on 20, 21 and 22 May by quoting 'LOND241' when booking your tickets. Offer on general admission tickets only. Transaction fee of £1.50 applies per order. Offer expires 15 May 2016.
