See Stunning Display Of 300,000 Knitted Poppies

300,000 hand-knitted poppies have gone on show in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea as part of the Chelsea Flower Show.

The handmade poppies commemorate servicemen and women who've fought in wars and peacekeeping operations over the last 100 years.

The flowers were created as part of the 5,000 Poppies Project, which began in Australia to mark Anzac Day. When 250,000 of them had been created, the poppies were displayed in Melbourne’s landmark Federation Square and on Princes Bridge.

The Chelsea Flower Show runs 24-28 May. Tickets are £25-£100. Photos by Claire Takacs.
