Beautiful Photos Celebrate North And West London's Waterways
Flight of Locks by Hanwell.

The buildings that dot the riverfront from the South Bank to the Isle of Dogs are just so damn pretty that it's easy to forget there's plenty more watery beauty elsewhere in London.

Thames21's new exhibition Living Waterways — opening today — draws our attention out north and west, celebrating the rivers and reservoirs, canals and critters of Barnet, Brent, Harrow, Hounslow and Ealing.

Catch the show upstairs at the W7 Emporium near Boston Manor until 24 April.

And dip your toe in the water with this lot:

Duckie reflections: Mallards on the River Brent, Fitzherbert Walk by Christine Jarvis.
Low-rise London: Sunset at Brent Reservoir by Daniel Coyle.
A spray of trees: Taken at the Flood by Philip Alford.
The hopeful kitten: Was that a Fishie? by Terry Freestone.

Living Waterways is at W7 Emporium, 60 Boston Rd, W7 3TR until 24 April. Entrance is free.
