Start Your Engines: London's Drive-In Cinema Is Back

Drive-In Film Club returns to Alexandra Palace next month, letting you watch classic films from the comfort of your own car.

The event is by the people behind Rooftop Film Club and Underground Film Club, and the programme of films is as excellent as we'd expect. Classic guilty pleasure flicks such as Back To The Future and Pulp Fiction sit alongside more recent, but equally as exciting, releases such as Brooklyn, Spectre and The Martian.

No pop-up cinema is complete without at least one screening of Grease, and Drive-In Film Club doesn't disappoint. The final screening of the run is a Grease sing-a-long — pick your car companions for this one at your peril.

The Americana doesn't stop with the films. Staff on roller skates will be delivering Popdogs hotdogs, popcorn, sweets and drinks from the snack menu direct to your car.

All that, and a cracking view over London to boot. Tickets will sell faster than a Chevvy on Route 66.

Drive-In Film Club is at Alexandra Palace on various date 10-31 March. Tickets are £22 per car, regardless of how many people are in there (keep it legal though, please). Book here.
