Trick or treat run

It's the day after Halloween, but that's not stopping organisers of this Richmond Park fun run from getting all ghoulish. Choose from 2k, 5k or 10k routes around the park and on completion, pick between a finish-line trick with a spooky surprise, or play it safe with a treat. Fancy dress is encouraged: there'll be prizes for the best dressed participants. 1 Nov, Richmond Park, from 10am, entry fees from £15

Run in the dark

If you're the kind of runner who puts their trainers away when the clocks go back, this could be the event to change all that. London Run in the Dark is just one of several races taking place on 11 November helping to raise money to find a cure for paralysis. Choose between two laps (5k) or four laps (10k) of the Battersea Park course, and enjoy the liberating feeling of running in the dark. 11 November, Battersea Park, 8pm, £24.95 entry fee

Sweaty 6 Class Challenge

This November, Hot Bikram Yoga's annual 6 Class Challenge is back, and they're looking for participants. The team will complete six classes in one day at their London Bridge studios. Open Wheel breakfast ride

Once a month, The Open Wheel hosts a free 20-mile cycle ride in London. Suitable for all abilities, the rides are led by the Open Wheel team. It's all very easy-going, with no timing equipment, no signage and no maps. The ride starts and finishes in Dalston, and there's the chance to have breakfast and a coffee with other riders when you're done. 14 November, meet at Gillet Square, Dalston at 7.45am for 8am start. Yoga on Tower Bridge

Practise your downward dog 42 metres above the Thames on Tower Bridge Exhibition's high-level walkway this month, and watch the river below you as you flow though your yoga poses. Get there early to catch sunrise, and a prime spot on the glass sections of the walkways. The class, led by independent London-based Vinyasa yoga teacher, Sarah McFadden, lasts 50 minutes. 18 Nov, Tower Bridge at 7.15 for a 7.30 start. £25

Viking method pop-up

Sample the latest hardcore workout fresh from Scandinavia with the ever-funky Secret Urban Escapes team. the Viking method will have you jumping, crawling, planking, squatting and kick-boxing your way through a intense physical workout. Survival of the fittest

Based at Wembley Park, the final Survival of the Fittest assault course of the year offers 75 obstacles (walls, crawls, water and more) to challenge its 1,0000 'survivors'. 10K MoRun Greenwich Park

This is the second MoRun of the month (you can do a cheaper 5k in Battersea on 15 November, if you'd prefer), this time at Greenwich Park. Moustaches, fancy dress and general faux-ironic silliness generally encouraged. 10% of your entry fee goes to the Movember charity. 28 Nov, Greenwich Park, registration at 8am, race starts at 10am. Santa's Snow Rush

It's not December yet, but that hasn't stopped Demelza Hospice Care for Children setting up a brand-new Christmas-themed obstacle course in Mountsfield Park, Lewisham. Santas and elves can tackle 10 festive obstacles on the 3k route, including snow cannons. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... 29 Nov, Mountsfield Park, Lewisham.
