Password Problems And Relationship Troubles In 0507

This practically perfect London Short just about nails the average modern relationship — even though it barely makes it off the couch. As funny and true as it is subtle, 0507 is a collaboration between filmmakers the Blaine Brothers and comedians Cariad Lloyd and Fraser Millward.

Chris and Ben Blaine grew up in the suburbs of London though Chris now lives south and Ben north. 0507 was shot in Haringey when Ben lived on Green Lanes. They tell Londonist: "We've worked with Cariad for years and I think we all play well together. We were all just riffing of an idea of hers one afternoon, but it's ended up being one of our most successful films and was nominated for a BIFA for Best Short."

London has always been an important part of the brothers' work — right back to their tube inspired short film Russell Square, made 15 years ago, which also starred Cariad Lloyd. They say: "London is our home so it's always inspired us. It's one of the few places where you've got the whole of the world in one city."

London is also an important character in their upcoming debut feature Nina Forever. It’s a very different film from 0507, a comedy horror about a menage-a-trois with a zombie. You can see it at Frightfest between 27-31 August.

Cariad Lloyd who we interviewed recently will be performing gigs over the summer including a stint with Austentatious at the Udderbelly, while Fraser Millward has an Omnibus at the Camden Fringe in August.
