Last week we introduced you to Vodafone London Fashion Weekend, the glamorous event which follows invite-only London Fashion Week into stunning Somerset House.

For the fashion-hungry it is no hard sell: in fact, Saturday is now sold out except for the Bronze ticket. Book quickly if you don't want to miss out on encounters with top British fashion designers and their creations, available for purchase.

The four-day event offers a plethora of activities for inspiration seekers: enjoy designer catwalks featuring names such as Amanda Wakeley and Nicholas Oakwell and learn about the latest thing at trend-centric catwalk shows presented by THE OUTNET.COM. Browse for unique designer pieces in more than 50 pop-up shops and get pampered in beauty sessions. And go behind the scenes of the fashion industry, with useful suggestions for developing a career in the field as well as a chance to mingle with beauty professionals.

Then it's time for some intellectual stimulation. The programme presents a series of talks which focus on fashion design, industry publishing and personal style. There are three talks every day, of which these are our favourites:

  • Malice in Wonderland: Author Hugo Vickers talks about Cecil Beaton’s career as a photographer in the 20th century. His subjects spanned the Queen to the Rolling Stones, including Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. On Thursday 18 September, 2.30pm
  • In conversation with fashion curator and archivist, Shonagh Marshall: Listen to the young assistant curator at Somerset House, who talks about her career and experience curating fashion exhibitions. On Friday 19 September, 3.30pm
  • Maybelline New York Masterclass: Learn how to highlight your facial features and shine everyday with the suggestions of make-up artists on Saturday 20 September, 12pm
  • Women Fashion Power: From Elizabeth I to Lady Gaga, the clothes women wear have always been a powerful form of self-expression. Join Design Museum curator Donna Loveday who talks about the museum’s forthcoming exhibition: Women Fashion Power. On Sunday 21 September, 12pm

Tickets are available in Bronze (£20), Silver (£37) Gold (£50) and Luxe (£130) packages, and feature a range of the above events (plus front row seats, a private lounge and designer tote bag filled with treats if you decide to go for Luxe). Decide what you want to see and choose the package that fits you.

Londonist readers get an exclusive 25% off their tickets*, just by quoting the code “LONDONIST” at the checkout.

Vodafone London Fashion Weekend takes place at Somerset House between 18-21 September 2014. Visit the website for more information or to book tickets. Images provided by Vodafone London Fashion Weekend.
