Londoners have a final chance to get behind the red shutters at 31 London Street and enter the space that was home to Punchdrunk’s immersive production, The Drowned Man, for the past year.

The show ended last month and the clean-out, as anyone who visited the four-storey, 200,000 sq ft immersive production can imagine, must be huge. Now, they are opening the newly-emptied space once more to allow members of the public to purchase the production props, costumes and set items that helped create the world of ‘Temple Studios’.

We visited the Friends and Family sale last weekend and were screeching with delight as we made our way around the range of offerings. Sequinned dresses, costume suits, accessories, furniture galore, books, old radios, hatstands, signage and endless props nestle alongside the more bizarre items such as full-sized scarecrows, battered old pianos, a 50-foot long light-up ‘Red Moon Motel’ sign and... um... some old tights?

For anyone who saw the show, it’s a walk down memory lane and the chance to get your hands on a goblet from which the PA sipped, Conrad’s suitcase or a Drugstore lemonade glass. For everyone else it’s a second-hand treasure trove and the pricing is surprisingly reasonable, although no doubt the offerings will decrease as the best items get nabbed early on.
