Best Free Gigs To See In London: 12-18 May 2014

Tom Du Croz from LondonGigGuide selects five free gigs around town this week.

Wednesday 14 May

Joel Sarakula, The Monarch, Camden

This guy is an Australian-born, UK-based bohemian. He released his debut UK album, 'The Golden Age', last summer. Click here to listen to Joel's music. This is a free gig. @joelsarakula

Joseph, Servant Jazz Quarters, Dalston

This track is his first release — and it is beautiful. Jospeh performs at The Servant Jazz Quarters, a small but cosy venue. @josephsounds

Thursday 15 May

The Camden Cat, Blues Kitchen, Camden

The Camden Cat is the current stage name of Daniel Jeanrenaud, a seasoned blues man. He recently supported David Gray at the Roundhouse and is also signed to his record label. Tonight he performs a free concert in Camden. @TheCamdenCats

Friday 16 May

Johnny Cage & the Voodoogroove, Magic Garden, Battersea

Get to this gig before 8pm and entry is free. Perfect excuse to soak up the evening sun before listening to this epic dirty blues band. @mrjfcage

Hooks, Paper Dress Vintage, Shoreditch

This gig has a great line up. Not only are The Hooks playing but also Normanton Street. This track is the band's first single and this is a free gig to celebrate its launch. @Hooksinfo
