Perambulate a part of London you've not before with free led walks for Walk London's Autumn Ambles Weekend.

Last week we had a look at the long walks on offer. This week, we look at the shorter jaunts. There are plenty to choose from, including riverside walks, traditional sightseeing tours, and lots exploring the City but we particularly liked these ones:

Old Camden Town: There are lots of things beginning with c to discover in Camden: canals, cafes, cobblestones, catacombs, crafts, crescents and cool stuff. A local artist leads this walk round characterful Camden on Saturday 28th September at 11am, meeting at the tube.

High Barnet to Cockfosters: Explore the ends of two tube lines and the scenery, views and history in between them on a 3.5 mile stroll on Saturday 28 September at 2.30pm.

Millbank and more: Find out what lurks between Pimlico and Parliament, including spooks, bridges, palaces, ceramics and a stink on Sunday 29 September at 11am.

City Hall to Canary Wharf: Walk three and a bit miles of the Thames Path in the company of the Chair of the River Thames Society, from Tower, through the docks and out to Limehouse on Sunday 29 September at 11am.

Old Highgate Village: Explore this "country village nestling round an old pond" and enjoy its views, celebrity stories, pubs and famous cemetery on Sunday 29 September at 2pm, meet at Highgate tube.

There are 36 walks of different lengths covering different bigs of London so start making your weekend walking plans!
