MPs Unhappy With Soggy Porridge And 'Horrifying' Wine List

chipsA Freedom of Information (FOI) request has revealed that some of our MPs aren't all that happy with their subsidised food in the House of Commons.

Complaints about a lack of chips, rubbery tofu and cold curry have been highlighted — including a comment that courgette potato rosti cake with beetroot wedges and cream cheese was 'disgusting'. In all fairness, this sounds pretty yucky to us too.

The wine selection also came in for some criticism, with a diner treating some guests to lunch in the Strangers’ Dining Room said to have been ‘horrified’ when told they had run out of certain vintages of wine. We totally sympathise. Trying to choose between a £5.99 Pinot and a dusty bottle of Lambrini in the local petrol station horrifies us too.

Check out the menus here. We'll have the tandoori halloumi with mint yoghurt and education secretary Michael Gove can have a tin of cold soup and a fork.
