Former Deputy Mayor of London, former London Assembly Member for Ealing and Hillingdon, and current Hillingdon council member, Richard Barnes has apparently been caught with his pants very literally down.
A series of photos were posted to Barnes's Facebook page on Wednesday, showing a man (with head cropped) taking his trousers off and letting everything hang out. (Gawker has the actual photos. Even pixelated, they are very NSFW.) There's speculation that the pics got online because of auto-upload; an apoplectic Barnes told Metro that his profile has been hacked.
A very similar explanation was used by former New York City Representative Anthony Weiner, who keeps sending saucy pics to women using Twitter. So that's weiner and Richard Barnes, commonly known in City Hall as Dick. This is making us think nominative determinism is actually a thing.
While Barnes is explaining to constituents in his Harefield ward how that definitely, definitely is not him, we imagine writers on topical comedy shows all over the country are currently giving thanks to whatever deity is culturally appropriate for the tabloid legend that is now Dick Barnes.
