Could You Be A Towpath Ranger?

Regent's Canal Towpath by PastLondon

The waterway charity Canal & River Trust is once again looking for volunteer "Towpath Rangers" to help keep London's towpaths in tip-top condition.

If you live, work or travel in the following London boroughs: Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Enfield, Haringey, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Islington, Kensington & Chelsea or Newham, and enjoy walking or cycling around the towpaths already, and have at least an hour a month you could donate to the cause, you could make the ideal volunteer.

Volunteer Towpath Rangers receive an induction, on-going training and the chance to be part of a great team. The Canal & River Trust provide all the necessary clothing and equipment and, we're told, reimburse reasonable out-of-pocket expenses.

Volunteer tasks include attending and leading towpath events, carrying out visitor counts and the odd spot of towpath gardening and maintenance.
