Go Behind The Scenes At Tower Bridge This Summer

Engine Rooms at Tower Bridge

Get a sneak-peek at the inner workings of Tower Bridge this summer, as a series of Techie Talks reveal what goes on behind the scenes at one of London’s most iconic landmarks.

Taking place surrounded by the original lifting machinery in the Victorian Engine Rooms, the bridge’s expert Technical Officers (the very ones who raise the bridge for river vessels) will lead you through the engineering marvels that go into the day to day working of the bridge.

The talks are included in the price of admission to the Tower Bridge Exhibition, where you can enjoy photographic exhibits and film displays, as well as experience the high level Walkways above the Thames.

From Thursday 25 July to 29 August 2013, check the schedule for full listings. Free with a Tower Bridge Exhibition ticket (£8 for adults, concessions available).

Went on this during Open London in 2011 with my wee girl. It was excellent and we both had a marvelous day out. Tour guides especially talented. Go see!
