Ticket Alert: Babyshambles, The Strypes, The 1975 And More

What with the sunshine and everything, your thoughts might be turning to festival season. Still, here's our pick of gigs on sale this week. You should be able to buy tickets to these from 9am Friday.

Depending on your point of view, you can take this as either a warning or a cause for celebration. Pete Doherty's Babyshambles are back, and they'll play O2 Academy Brixton on 14 September. Tickets £25 + bf.

Up-and-coming rhythm-and-blues teenagers The Strypes (pictured) might be youngsters, but they create a punchy old-fashioned sound with enthusiasm and flair. See them at O2 Academy Islington on 21 June. Tickets £10 + bf.

Texan pop-punkers Bowling for Soup aren't splitting up, but they are about to play their last ever UK shows. Most dates are sold out, but they've announced an extra special acoustic evening at Islington's Union Chapel. It happens on 9 October with tickets at £18.50 + fees.

The 1975 have been widely tipped as ones to watch this year. But are the Manchester foursome more landfill indie than indie idols? Well, given that they're on the Radio 1 A-List and have been booked for O2 Academy Brixton on 11 January next year, success seems assured. Tickets £15.50 + bf.

Also booking this week: Roddy Woomble (of Idlewild), Bruno Mars, Evarose and Danny Brown.
