Ticket Alert: Tunng, Japandroids, Mumford & Sons And More

Here's our pick of gigs on sale this week. Tickets to all these will be available from 9am Friday.

If you've not had your fill of Mumford & Sons yet, the ubiquitous, banjo-toting group will play the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on 6 July. Support acts include Vampire Weekend and Haim. Tickets £57.50 + bf.

However, an altogether more intimate and engaging proposition might be Tunng (pictured), an experimental folk group formed ten years ago in London. Subtle and intelligent, they'll play Heaven on 8 October. Tickets £13.50 + bf.

Canadian rock duo Japandroids tend to attack their songs live, rather than simply playing them. It makes for a back-to-basics, invigorating, ear-ringing experience. They'll be at Dingwalls on 17 July. Tickets £13 + bf.

Huey Lewis and the News play O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on 1 October. Yes, really. If you want to see how the 80s group have aged, tickets are £45 + bf.

Finally, Frightened Rabbit can be lilting, melodic and anthemic, and the Scottish band's steady rise has landed them a date at O2 Academy Brixton on 8 November. Tickets £17.50 + bf.

Also on sale this week: Cloud Control, Hooded Fang and So Solid Crew.
