Preview: Craft Beer Rising @ Old Truman Brewery

Taking over the Truman Brewery building on Brick Lane, Craft Beer Rising is set to be a two day celebration of everything that is great about micro-brewing right now. It will feature a room of cask beer alongside a room of keg beer, with breweries including Brewdog, Thornbridge , Meantime and Saltaire amongst many others. A full list of which breweries are exhibiting can be found on the Craft Beer Rising website.

If something a little more experimental is your bag, then award winning cocktail barman Ryan Chetiyawardana will be mixing up some beer cocktails. Alongside the beery offerings, there will be a huge range of street food to satisfy meat eaters and vegetarians alike.

Punters will have the opportunity to try a special limited edition black IPA (or India Black Ale if you prefer!) that's been specially brewed for the event by the organisers in collaboration with the Lamb Brewery. The black IPA is a trendy beer style right now and this one should be a treat as it is packed with four American hop varieties.

Entertainment comes in the form of music from a range of DJs and performers with the legendary Norman Jay topping the bill on Saturday night.

Craft Beer Rising is an essential event for London beer lovers and will feature some of the most exciting and innovative beers being produced in the UK alongside offerings for overseas such as the US brewery Fordham and Belgian favourites Duvel. Why not grab an advance ticket from the link below, to get you inside and drinking all the quicker!

Craft Beer Rising takes place from 22 to 23 February at the Truman Brewery building on Brick Lane, E1 6QL. Tickets cost £10 - £12 from here.
