Preview: Dickens Day @ Royal Society Of Medicine

As Dickens' bicentennial year draws to a close, Dickens Day will bring children together to celebrate his life and work with period music and drama and a Victorian Christmas Fayre.

The family-friendly day is also a big fundraising event for Great Ormond Street Hospital, which is fitting as Charles Dickens played a great part in helping the hospital to grow and thrive. One of the performances will include a poem, written by a ten year old outpatient at GOSH, set to music and sung by Kings College Chorus.

As well as diverse performances and entertainments the all-day event will also include a series of fun talks, cartoons and films all about Charles Dickens and his London.

If you're interested in taking a stall at the Christmas market or sponsoring this event with money or in kind - please get in touch with the organiser, Dickens expert and impersonator, Chris West.
