Covent Garden gets a temporary picnic area today (looking at the weather forecast we hope it has an awning) plus the chance to see an artist at work.
Dan Woodger is decorating a massive lunchbox – because it's about a new product launch from those cookies we all apparently twist, lick and dunk. Dan was responsible for one of the BT ArtBoxes, painted with a London skyline and people with Simpsons-esque bulging eyes. He'll be hiding cookies in the illustration and kids can play hunt the biscuit while the rest of us take a break from shopping. There's no word in this here press release on whether there'll be free biscuits, but poor show if there isn't.
The Giant Oreo Lunchbox opens at 10am on 25 August in Covent Garden East Piazza.
