Monday: Kazzum brings street theatre for kids to Hackney Marsh Adventure Playground with Paper People from 2pm — other locations throughout the week (free).

Tuesday: Watch Gustav Klimt street art being created in Grosvenor Gardens from 9am-7pm (free).

Wednesday: The Big Chill House terrace reopens with free burgers and cocktails for all from 6-9pm (free).

Science London Presents: An Optimist’s Tour Of The Future upstairs at The Lamb, Lamb's Conduit Street from 7pm (free).

Thursday: Take a late view of the arts and crafts exhibition, Makers at the Mill at The House Mill, Bromley-by-Bow till 8pm (free).

Friday: Ballet film The Red Shoes will be screened on the National Theatre flytower from 9pm (free).

Saturday: Warm up for Notting Hill Carnival with the Paraiso School of Samba Party in the Royal Festival Hall from 7.30pm (free).

Sunday: Free festival Bookstock 2012 offers music, games, food and fancy dress courtesy of the Book Club on Leonard Street, Shoreditch — get a wristband to fast track in — from noon till 8pm (free/£5 after 8pm).
