Experience a free "landscape of wonder" over nine days of art, music, science, literature and acrobatics in South Kensington.

During the first nine days of the Olympics, Exhibition Road Show will bring a wealth of creativity to the capital inspired by the prestigious institutions that flank the diamond-paved concourse, from the awe-inspiring contraptions of the Science Museum to the enlightening collection at the V&A.

There will be music performances from artists including Eliza Carthy, Patrick Wolf, Bishi, The Olympianist, and Kammer Klang and nightly ballrooms of tango, waltzes, jives, Scottish reels and jigs, with the resident house orchestra.

The Exhibitionists are the Road Show's resident circus and dance troupe, providing dance and acrobatics throughout the festival.

Experience new public art commissioned for the festival, including a reformed melted down meteorite by Katie Paterson, high-profile (literally) commentary from the terracotta balcony of the V&A thanks to Graeme Miller and Tomáš Libertíny’s living sculpture of bees.

See a handmade particle accelerator in operation, take a turn on the alfresco ballroom floor, play vintage board games, join a vintage style bike ride and read specially commissioned short stories.

After all that stuff you'll need refuelling so it's a good job 20 Eat St traders will be on hand to supply the Road Show visitors with a huge diversity of street food.

The Exhibition Road Show festival runs from 28 July at 10.30am to 5 August at 10pm and is open from 6pm on weekdays, all day at weekends.

Exhibition Road Show was commissioned by The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea as a celebration of the cultural heartland of London. All events are free although some are ticketed.
