The weather might be only half-compliant, but the first in a series of 'Best of British' free film screenings begins today in Broadgate Circle. The films are programmed by east London cultural venue Rich Mix, and offer a populist selection of action capers and family-friendly movies. Here's the lineup:
Wed 6 June
- 12.15pm Wallace and Gromit in the Curse of the Ware-Rabbit
- 5.45pm Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
Thur 7 June
- 12.15pm 101 Dalmations (the 1996 version)
- 5.45pm The Italian Job (the 1969 version)
Fri 8 June
- 12.15pm Nanny McPhee
All screenings are free. Simply turn up with your picnic basket (but no glassware). Although fancy dress is optional, there's a prize for the best costume inspired by your film of choice.
