Things To Do In London On The Cheap: 23-29 April

Monday: Join the record breaking toast (including a free pint of beer) at the Lamb Tavern, Leadenhall Market (be there by 12.30) and watch out for Morris dancing from noon, folk music and Pearly King and Queen.

Also, watch out for The Ballad of St George & the Dragon, a 12-minute open-air play, being performed by the Lions part at St George's Cathedral Primary School (2.30pm), Red Cross Garden in Redcross Way (3.45pm), Southwark Cathedral's Millennium Courtyard (4.45pm) and outside St George the Martyr Church (5.45pm) (free).

Tuesday: Come to the Londonist Dickens Quiz in Ray's Jazz Cafe at Foyles, Charing Cross Road from 6.30pm (free).

Wednesday: Entertainment is gratis at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern with Myra Dubois doing an hour of jokes and magic with gin in hand, show 8.30pm (free).

Thursday: Vice magazine throw a free party at the Old Blue Last, Shoreditch, to mark their new issue with live music, Djs, free drinks and free stuff too from 8pm-1am (free).

Was Shakespeare Shakespeare? Ponder it at London Fortean Society's meet up at the Bell, 50 Middlesex Street E1 7EX from 8pm, all welcome (£3/2).

Friday: Explore Asia House Fair, which opens today 10am-8pm and over the weekend, with 28 Asian artist exhibitors (free entry).

Fulham Fest means live music across four venues. It's free but you need to sign up to get a wristband here.

Saturday: There's a free open weekend at Golden Lane Sport & Leisure, Fann Street EC1 0SH to mark its official reopening. Have a swim, try netball, tennis, rounders or a fitness class on Saturday and Sunday between 10am-4pm (free).

Sunday: Be part of the final night of Reach Out and Touch Me a promenade theatre experience in the basement at Shoreditch Town Hall at 3pm and 6pm (from Thursday 26 April - free).
