"Zoologists and palaeontologists," we're told, "have invented some genuinely ridiculous names for body parts and animal groups and species". To that end, the Grant Museum at UCL has put together a yellow-bellied sapsucker of an event based on the old TV game show Call My Bluff.
Call My Bluffalo (you can kind of see what they did there) will tease a panel of scientists with true and false definitions of some of the more oddly named animals and body parts. Will they know their slippery dick from their blue-footed booby?
The event is free and will be followed by a complementary glass of wine and tour of the Grant Museum.
Call My Bluffalo takes place on 1 May at 6.30pm in the JZ Young Theatre, Anatomy Building, University College London, Gower Street, WC1E 6BT.
