New Covent Garden Espresso Bar Offering Free Breakfast This Week

No really. New independent coffee shop, Salt, is offering a “free Greek yoghurt with exotic fruit and home made granola or a rum-laced almond croissant" when you purchase a tea or coffee to go this week between 8am and 10am tomorrow and Friday, and 10am to 11am on Saturday and Sunday.

The folks behind this new cafe use coffee blends from Square Mile and organic milk in all their coffee drinks. They serve Waterloo teas along with soups, sandwiches and more. All bread, cakes and pastries are baked fresh on site.

Salt is located at 34 Great Queen Street, WC2B 5AA. You'll need to say “This Week Only” to get the freebie.

Haha, did you see the PR email about this? They forgot to get rid of their email chain underneath saying that it only had 5 take ups so far... whoops!

I don't get it? Why would you write that as a comment? Some people are so bizarre, so what if they've only had five people take up the offer so far? A press release is to publicise the event, and I'm sure many more people will take up the offer now after reading it on this website!

I love Salt. The staff there are quite nice. I didn't think they were particularly "new" as I've been going to them over a month now.

I had a really lovely lunch from Salt today. I'll be sure to try them for brekkie too!

Wes M

I didn't read carefully enough, but just letting you all know that the coffee and tea aren't free, just the yoghurt or croissant. The croissant was delicious though.

Michal Pawlowski

Same here. The message is quite confusing and I understood that crossant and coffee were both free. However I had to pay 2.60 for small caffee. Everything was delicious and staff is nice and friendly.

Good luck Salt!

Sorry for any misunderstanding. I've updated to the post to read a little more clearly. It sounds like Wes M and Michal Pawlowski had a positive experience nevertheless. Thanks for your comments, guys.

Anyone else drop by there this morning or planning to tomorrow or over the weekend?
