Tonight: minimalist rockers the Brute Chorus is at Barfly.

Tuesday: celebrate the life and work of Frank Zappa as his son, Dweezil, plays Apostrophe at the Barbican. Shuffle along to London band Yuck's end of tour show at the Barfly, Camden.

Wednesday: record label Memphis Industries celebrates 13 years with bands from their roster, including Field Music, Dutch Uncles, and Colourmusic, at Koko.

Thursday: '90s indie titans Superchunk return to the UK after ten years with a show at Scala. Animal Collective's Panda Bear is at Electric Ballroom.

Friday: Sonic Youth frontman Thurston Moore is at Union Chapel with Tall Firs. Alabama 3 (they of the Sopranos theme) are at the Forum.

Saturday: annual goth music fest Gotham, this year featuring Cold in Berlin, is at Islington Academy.

Sunday: folk leaning experimental band Forest Fire are at Hoxton Bar and Kitchen.
