Four Police Officers Injured In North London Incident


Three police officers have been stabbed and a fourth injured in an incident after attending a call to a disturbance in Kingsbury, north London just before 9am this morning.

A police spokesperson said; 'Police were called at approximately 8.40 this morning to a disturbance in Kingsbury Road, Kingsbury. Officers attended and attempted to speak with a man, who subsequently attacked them.'

Witnesses say they saw the police chase a suspect who then ran into a butcher's shop where he picked up the knife he used to assault the officers. A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

London Ambulance Service say they took five patients to hospital, all conscious and breathing. The fifth victim has yet to be identified.

The incident took place near Kingsbury Circle which is now closed in all directions. Five bus routes have been diverted.
