What kind of preview is this? Comedy? Music? Cabaret? Who can tell, since even in their own words, The Horne Section is "part improvised, part honed, part performance, part party".
If you missed it last year, then we advise that you take this opportunity to snap up tickets to see Alex Horne and his five piece band bring a bit of funk and a lot of style to late-night London this Saturday night, playing games, singing songs, and telling gags.
The band - who, on their off days, toil admirably behind the wiggling bottoms of Girls Aloud (and, less distractingly , Madness) - will be joined tomorrow night by Peter Serafinowicz and Tim Key. The series also promises a turn from Al Murray, Ali McGregor, Josie Long, Tim Minchin, Paul Foot, and Phil Nichol amongst others almost too exhaustively innumerably to mention.
Given that this night is run by The Invisible Dot - stable (literally) to the likes of David O’Doherty, Greg Davies and the Edinburgh Award winning Adam Riches, we expect great things. But if you fancy a taste of what you might be in for, have a look here.
Performances on Saturdays nights 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th October, starts 10.30pm (but they'll make sure you'll be out by the last tube home) At Criterion Theatre, Picadilly Circus, SW1. Tickets £15/£20/£20 + booking fee
