Friday: Watch the Golborne Variations and local films at the pop up cinema on Acklam Road for the Portobello Film Festival (free)

Saturday: See Tate Britain in a new light with Embrace the Place between 1-5pm (free)

The Liberty Festival is part of Watch This Space this year, with amazing performances from deaf and disabled artists taking place between 1-10pm outside the National Theatre (free)

Sunday: Take over the streets of central London on a bicycle between 9.30am-4pm with the Sky Ride (free but please register)

Join the London Mela in Gunnersbury Park, W3 between 1-8.30pm for a massive celebration of South Asian culture (free)

Monday: The Little Top at Greenwich Comedy Festival in the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College opens today at 6pm with cabaret and comedy entertainment till midnight (free)

Tuesday: Core Gallery in Deptford hosts a DIY Educate, Show and Tell artist talk by Delaine Le Bas at 6.30pm (DIY members free / £5)

Wednesday: Prom it at the Royal Albert Hall and hear Holst's The Planets (queue up for £5 tickets)

Thursday: Celebrate International Paralympic Day in Trafalgar Square with demonstrations of Paralympic sports and a Guinness World Record moment for Sitting Volleyball - all day, till 7.30pm (free)
