And so summer is officially over, with the close of a free, two day Thames extravaganza. On Facebook Jennifer McCollough said, "We watched the Sing For Water concert at The Scoop (FABULOUS!) and then walked down the length of the festival, shopping and eating all the way. Great fun!" Abigail Amelia Farrow was there too, saying "Loved every minute"; "Thankyou we had a great time, my kids loved it! Def be coming again nxt yr";

People over at the Thames Festival Facebook page said: "The best parade I have ever seen!"; "Great day out, will keep the date in my diary for next year. Proud to be a Londoner!" and despite the fireworks being delayed — and some consternation that a massive firework display was taking place on the anniversary of 9/11 — they were reportedly "awesome" and "worth the wait". See them in high speed here:

Were you there? What did you think?

Many thanks to fabiolug, katesca, Massimo Usai, surreydweller, Simon-K, Remisa, Baynes Media, David.Banks and KBTimages who shared their photos in the Londonist Flickrpool. .
