Sunday saw London's Pearly families meet at Guildhall, "decked out in their shiniest and most elaborate outfits" for the thirteenth annnual Costermongers Harvest Festival celebration. IanVisits was there to capture the ceremony, harvest offerings and maypole dancing with dignitaries!

But where else have you seen Pearly Kings and Queens this year? We raided the Flickrpool for pearly pictures. Can you spot your borough's king or queen? Did you know your borough had a pearly Royal Family? Just what is a Costermonger anyway? Find out more at the The London Pearly Kings and Queens Society website.
