LeeFest is a smashing little non-profit festival quietly beavering away near Bromley and Croydon, this year running over two days and working in partnership with Kids Company.

LeeFest started back in 2006, with 150 people in the eponymous Lee's back garden. It's since grown to encompass a campsite and multiple stages for a couple of thousand festivalgoers at Highams Hill Farm in Surrey. This year's line-up includes British Sea Power, the Young Knives and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly.

There's more than just bands and DJs though - artists will set up sculptures and installations on site, the guys from the Kindness Offensive are coming along, there's live graffiti art, a steel orchestra and 1940s style tea and cake. Most of all though, the organisers say it's just about having fun. Which sounds good to us.

LeeFest runs 12th-13th August at Highams Hill Farm, Warlingham CR6 9PQ. Day tickets cost £30 / £35 in advance, £40 / £45 on the door; weekend tickets including camping cost £55 in advance, £65 on the door. Family tickets cost £110 / £130 and under 10s go free. For more information see the LeeFest website.
