Lit Preview: Bookstock 4

After three previous sell-outs, Bookstock comes to the Yorkshire Grey pub in Holborn on Saturday for another night of writers, poets, comedy and music.

Ross Raisin, author of God's Own Country (he's a Yorkshireman, in case you hadn't twigged), Trilby Kent (Smoke Portrait), Graham Pears (copper turned crime writer), Anna Stothard (The Pink Hotel), Patrick Gooch (The Dark Side of the Balcony) are all on the bill, which is topped off by acoustic band Little Machine performing poems by the likes of Keats, Larkin and Dylan Thomas.

Bookstock is the brainchild of the North London Reading Group, a network of book groups based along the northern Piccadilly Line. We love the idea that they didn't want to just stop at chewing the bookish fat! Everything kicks off at 7.30pm - and take a book along, there'll be swapping.

Bookstock 4 takes place at the Yorkshire Grey pub, 2 Theobald's Road, WC1X 8PN, from 7.30pm on Saturday 3rd September. Tickets cost £6 in advance / £8 on the door.
