Monday 18 July
QUIZ: Join Londonist editor M@ at the Royal Institution tonight for 60 questions about science and technology. We can promise a rather special picture round. £2, 7pm (but get there early for a seat)

Tuesday 19 July
COMEDY: Bright Club returns to the Wilmington Arms with its unique mix of comedy, warped academia and accordion playing. Tickets have sold out, but hang in there in case of returns. £5, 8pm

Wednesday 20 July
COMEDY: Clown-Geek-Prince-In-Chief Robin Ince brings his School for Gifted Children to the British Library. You don't have to be a children, or particularly gifted to enjoy the show. He'll be joined by other comedians including Frank Skinner and Londonist friend Helen Keen. £7.50/£5, 6.30pm

TECH: Ever wanted a tour of the Googleplex? We can't whisk you over to Mountain View, but we can point you towards a talk at LSE tonight, in which Douglas Edwards (Google employee number 59) describes the unique culture at that company. FREE, 6.30pm

CLIMATE: If you've been inspired by the National Maritime Museum's current Arctic exhibition, here's a chance to learn more about the threat to this environment. The Geological Society presents a trio of speakers who will discuss polar bears, politics and petroleum. £5, 6pm

Thursday 21 July
FUTURE: London's set to grow even bigger in the coming years. How will we cope? London experts including Robert Elms and his buddy Maxwell Hutchinson speculate at the Bishopsgate Institute tonight. £8, 7.30pm

Friday 22 July
STREET SCIENCE: In an unusual change to the living statues and banjo players normally found along the South Bank, the riverside walkway will this afternoon be occupied by some of the UK's top female scientists. The Soapbox Science event sees a series of speakers bringing science to the passing public. FREE, 12.30-3.30pm

TECH: One for the professionals. The monthly MiniBar event for anyone interested in 'mobile web, web applications, start ups, social networking, investment and general Web 2.0 mayhem' takes place tonight at a location disclosed to members. It's now full, but get on the reserve list. FREE, 6pm

Saturday 23 July
SCI-FI: Meet other sci-fi fans at the regular meetup of the London Sci-fi and Fantasy group, in the Mad Hatter pub, Southwark. FREE, 6pm
