Ticket Alert: Gigs on Sale Friday 22 July

If your week's been washed out by the weather, cheer up by booking one of these gigs. Tickets should be available from 9am or 10am on Friday.

  • Friendly Fires are big now. So big that the carnival threesome from St Albans have sold out two nights at Brixton Academy. But it's no problem if you've missed out so far - they've just added a third date, 24 November. Tickets from here.
  • Brighton metallers Architects aren't for the faint-hearted, so expect aggressive choruses and overwhelming guitars if you go to see them at the HMV Forum on 16 December. Tickets on sale here.
  • Staying towards the heavier end of the spectrum, Incubus are back in the UK this year, visiting Alexandra Palace on 4 November. They've just released a new album - get tickets from here.
  • Soulwax/2manydjs take their annual Christmas shindig back to Brixton Academy in December, making this the fifth year of Soulwaxmas. It runs till 3am, and is usually quite a party. Tickets available here.

Also booking this week: Richie Hawtin, Darren Hayes (available Sunday), Boyce Avenue and, er, The Wanted.
