Queen Organises Flashmob

Well, that's the Mirror's attribution of creative direction for a 100-strong performance of dancers outside Buckingham Palace yesterday.

The monarchy, normally a conservative, old-fashioned institution, proved itself just two or three years behind-the-times by arranging the flashmob.

The stunt involved students of University of East London, performing a 4-minute routine based on Romeo and Juliet (sadly, without employing the Palace facade for the famous balcony scene). The dance coincided with a reception by the Queen for young people in the performing arts.
