Ticket Alert: Gigs on Sale Thursday 21 April

What with the upcoming Bank Holiday bonanza, it's been a quiet week for gig announcements. Still, here's a handful of gigs going on sale tomorrow morning. Get stuck in from 9am.

  • Brandon FlowersBorn in Tehran and raised in London, Sami Yusuf has been called the most famous British Muslim in the world. The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has sold millions of records, and now he's bringing his sometimes political music to the Shepherd's Bush Empire on 3 June. Tickets from here.
  • Although they've been plugging away for 30-odd years, Canadian rockers Anvil only really achieved prominence after being the subject of the 2008 film, Anvil! The Story of Anvil. Portrayed as a real-life Spinal Tap, you couldn't help but like them - and hopefully that'll translate into ticket sales for their gig at the O2 Academy Islington on 11 July. Get tickets here.
  • Rumours of The Killers splitting up were clearly exaggerated, as they've been announced to headline Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park on 24 June. You could argue that the Vegas quartet lost some of their glitz with later albums, but as long as they play plenty from Hot Fuss we won't be complaining. Tickets available here.
  • Hard Fi have been quiet for ages, but it looks like the Staines stars of CCTV are ready for a comeback. According to the band's Facebook page, a third album is in the bag and they're planning a one-off show at the tiny Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen. More info and ticket link here - these are sure to go fast.

Also booking this week: Tom Vek at Heaven, Good Charlotte at the Sheperd's Bush Empire and Rufus Wainwright's residency at the Royal Opera House.
